First, separate Redmi from Redmi Note
This comparison is about Redmi 17 4G and Redmi 17 5G. Redmi Note 17 is a different family. Make sure the full model name is on the quote, along with RAM and storage. A listing that just says 'Redmi 17' leaves too much room for confusion.

Both listings show a 7,500mAh battery, 45W wired charging and a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD running at up to 120Hz. That is a large screen to carry, so try the grip and pocket fit if possible. The refresh rate tells you about the display, not the frame rate you will get in every game. And neither battery capacity nor charging wattage can tell you exactly how long your own phone will last or take to charge.
Where the decision changes
The listed chipsets are Helio G91-Ultra for the 4G model and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 for the 5G version. If you mainly need calls, messaging and video, compare whether the cheaper 4G configuration meets those needs. If you want 256GB or have a reason to choose 5G, look at the higher variants.
