Insta360 Mic Pro Nepal: Check Recording and App Support
The Insta360 Mic Pro is now listed in Nepal, bringing a wireless microphone system with internal recording and a customisable E-Ink display. The feature that deserves the closest look is not the screen on the transmitter. It is the difference between audio recorded inside the microphone and audio sent to your camera or phone.
GadgetByte Nepal reports prices of Rs.35,500 for the 1TX + 1RX kit and Rs.60,300 for the 2TX + 1RX kit. We checked that report against Insta360's specifications and compatibility manual on October 15, 2026. This is a researched buying guide, not a sound-quality test or a claim about NikoDeal stock.
Nepal price: choose the kit for the people you record
TX means transmitter: the microphone unit worn by the person speaking. RX means receiver: the unit that receives the wireless audio for your recording device. GadgetByte's reported Nepal prices are:
- One transmitter and one receiver: Rs.35,500.
- Two transmitters and one receiver: Rs.60,300.
For a solo presenter, the smaller kit may cover the immediate job. For an interviewer and guest who both need their own microphone, count the required transmitters before comparing prices. A lower kit price is not a saving if you still need another microphone to finish the setup.
These are source-reported Nepal prices, not a NikoDeal quote. Ask the seller to confirm the exact kit, included cables, adapters and charging equipment. Do not assume every bundle contains the same accessories just because the product name matches.
The 32-bit float limit matters
Insta360 explicitly says that 32-bit float applies only to the transmitter's internal recordings. It should not be presented as a blanket promise that every recording made by a connected phone or camera is 32-bit float.
That distinction changes the workflow. If you want the internally recorded file, make sure internal recording is enabled and understand how you will retrieve and use that file during editing. The audio recorded by your video device and the file stored in the transmitter are separate things to check.
The specifications list 32GB of internal storage. Storage is useful for recording on the transmitter, but it is not a substitute for checking that recording has started, monitoring the result and copying important files after a shoot. Make a short test clip and listen to the saved recording before a paid job or an interview that cannot be repeated.
Bluetooth is not universal camera-app support
The official compatibility manual says direct Bluetooth connection to a phone or tablet does not support audio capture in the device's native camera app. Supported third-party apps are needed for that connection method. The manual also lists app-specific differences between iOS and Android.
That means pairing successfully is not proof that the video app is recording the microphone. Test the exact phone, app and connection method you plan to use. Record a sample, stop recording and play it back. A microphone icon or a Bluetooth connection alone is not enough evidence.
The receiver is a different route. Insta360 lists receiver connections for compatible phones and tablets with USB-C or Lightning, with an extra Lightning adapter sold separately where needed. Its manual says receiver use supports most recording and live-streaming apps but does not support calling apps. Check that distinction if you are buying for meetings rather than video production.
Check your camera model, not just its brand
Support differs even within Insta360's camera range. The manual lists direct Bluetooth support for models such as X5 and Ace Pro 2. For X4, it does not list the same direct Mic Pro audio support and instead specifies the receiver, a 3.5mm cable and an audio adapter as the supported route.
Insta360 recommends updating camera firmware before use. Check the current compatibility table for your exact model rather than assuming that owning an Insta360 camera removes the need for a receiver or adapter. Digital-camera connections also need the stated receiver connection and compatible accessories.
Battery and range are measured under conditions
The transmitter's advertised 10-hour battery figure was measured with noise cancellation and internal recording off, in interference-free conditions. Turning on the feature you bought the microphone for can therefore change how closely your shoot matches that test.
Likewise, the maximum 400-metre transmission figure describes an open, unobstructed, interference-free receiver setup. It is not a promise of that distance through buildings, crowds or a busy wireless environment. Plan a recording setup around a tested connection, not the largest number on a specification sheet.
A useful pre-purchase check
Before ordering, write down the number of speakers, your camera or phone model, the recording app and the connection method. Confirm the kit contents against that list. Then test both the recorded sound and the file workflow before relying on it for important work.
