LG DualCool Hot & Cold AC Price in Nepal: Winter Guide

LG's DualCool kW Manager is a 1-ton hot & cold air conditioner listed for Nepal. It can heat a room, but its headline energy-target feature does not work in heating mode. That distinction matters if winter use is the reason you are considering it for a home in Dhangadhi or elsewhere in Kailali.

This is a guide based on published specifications, not a NikoDeal installation or hands-on test. We rechecked LG Nepal's PA-12JA3DE page and GadgetByte's Nepal report on October 26, 2026. Confirm the full model on any seller quote: LG identifies PA-12JA3DE.APWGEXP, while some listings omit the hyphen.

Heating and kW Manager are separate features

LG's Nepal page lists rated heating capacity of 3,700W and rated heating power consumption of 1,000W. These are manufacturer ratings, not a promise of constant consumption or the bill in your room. Insulation, room size, doors, settings and installation all affect the buying decision.

GadgetByte reports heating operation with outdoor temperatures down to -5°C. That is a reported operating limit, not a room-sizing recommendation or a guarantee of heating performance on every winter night. Ask an installer to assess the actual room and explain the proposed capacity before paying.

Most importantly, LG explicitly excludes heating mode from kW Manager. Buying a hot & cold AC does not give you the same energy-target controls in every season. If heating is your priority, ask for a demonstration of heating controls separately from a demonstration of kW Manager.

What the energy target actually does

According to LG, kW Manager is available through ThinQ only, in modes including cooling, dehumidification, sleep and jet, but not heating. During a selected period it monitors accumulated electricity use and limits performance, and therefore consumption, for the remaining period.

If daily use exceeds the plan, LG says the remaining electricity allowance is recalculated across the remaining days. If accumulated use exceeds the target for the full period, the feature is released, the AC returns to general operation and ThinQ sends a notification.

That is not a guaranteed hard cutoff or a fixed electricity-bill contract. Do not assume the unit stops using electricity when the target is reached. For more detail on those conditions, read our kW Manager heating-limit guide.

Ask for an app demonstration, not assumed screen names

LG lists ThinQ Wi-Fi and energy monitoring, while warning that smart features can vary by country and model. Have the seller demonstrate the exact unit connecting to your phone, where kW Manager appears and how its notifications work.

Follow the unit's manual and the current app instructions. We have not verified a particular QR-code workflow or an alternative app label for this Nepal unit, so those are not instructions to rely on here. Settle compatibility and setup help before installation rather than assuming an overseas video matches your model.

Read cooling and noise figures in context

LG lists rated cooling capacity of 3,500W and cooling power consumption of 1,140W. The Nepal specification gives cooling sound-pressure values down to 22 dB(A), but the heating sound-pressure row is different. The quietest cooling figure is not a promise of the same noise while heating.

LG's Convertible 5-in-1 notes also say certain modes limit maximum power consumption to 40-80%, which can reduce cooling performance. A lower-power setting is a trade-off, not evidence that the same output costs less in every situation. Choose room capacity with an installer rather than from a headline setting alone.

Compare the installed total, not only the price

GadgetByte's page, rechecked October 26, lists Rs. 1,09,490 against an MRP of Rs. 1,28,790 and names CG Digital and Daraz as sales channels. These are attributed published references, not a live checkout quote, verified stock or a NikoDeal offer.

Request a written total covering the exact indoor and outdoor units, installation labour, included piping, brackets, electrical work and any site-specific extras. GadgetByte reports a one-year comprehensive warranty and ten years on the compressor. Confirm the actual warranty card, exclusions, installation requirements and service route with the seller; this article does not promise NikoDeal coverage.

The useful comparison is the complete installed cost against the room and modes you will actually use. Browse NikoDeal's appliance catalog for currently listed alternatives, then confirm model, price and seller terms separately. A catalog link is not a stock claim for this AC.
