OPPO A6k 4G in Nepal: look beyond the battery number

The OPPO A6k 4G is a new option in Nepal's A-series price lists, but its large battery is only one part of the buying decision. Before paying close to Rs 40,000, check the display resolution, storage version and charging details alongside the brand name.

GadgetByte lists the 6GB/128GB version at NPR 38,999 and the 6GB/256GB version at NPR 43,999. TechLekh reports the same two Nepal prices. We checked those pages on 13 October 2026. These are published reference prices, not a NikoDeal quote, a stock announcement or a promise of a festival offer.

Nepal prices: the storage decision comes first

Both listed versions have 6GB of RAM. The more expensive version gives you more storage; that is not the same as getting a different processor or a sharper screen. Look at how much space your current photos, videos and apps use before choosing.

If your present phone is nearly full, decide what you want to keep locally. Long videos and offline downloads are worth planning for. If you mostly use a small set of apps and regularly move photos elsewhere, the larger version may not solve a problem you actually have. Keep enough room for future files rather than assuming the advertised capacity is all available to you. OPPO notes that the system software takes up part of the storage.

A large display, but HD+ rather than Full HD+

OPPO's global specification page for the A6k, model CPH2891, lists a 6.75-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 1570 x 720 pixels. Its maximum refresh rate is 120Hz. These two numbers describe different things.

Refresh rate describes how often the display can update. Resolution describes how much detail it can show. A high refresh rate does not turn an HD+ panel into a Full HD+ one. If you read long articles, spreadsheets or small text on a phone, compare the screen at your usual font size before buying.

The manufacturer also lists the Snapdragon 685 processor. This guide does not claim measured game performance or a benchmark result. Check the games and apps that matter to you instead of assuming that a 120Hz screen means every game will run at 120 frames per second. The Nepal guides describe this model as 4G; do not confuse it with a similarly named 5G phone in another market.

Battery capacity is clear; charging needs a separate check

OPPO lists a typical battery capacity of 6,500mAh. That is a capacity figure, not a guarantee of two days between charges. Brightness, network conditions, hotspot use and the tasks you run all affect the result. OPPO's own battery notes say actual results vary.

Charging is one detail we would check carefully before ordering. The Nepal articles are not fully consistent: GadgetByte's key highlights mention 45W, while its detailed specification section and its OPPO price-list page say 15W. TechLekh also lists 15W. The manufacturer's specification page we checked does not settle the charging wattage.

Rather than turn that disagreement into a promise, ask the seller to confirm the exact Nepal model and charging specification from the unit's documentation. Check the adapter included with that particular offer. Battery size and charging speed are separate questions, and the larger battery number should not distract from the time you have available to recharge.

Camera expectations without a hands-on claim

The global manufacturer page lists a 50MP main camera, a QVGA monochrome camera and a 5MP front camera. It does not list a separate ultrawide camera in that setup. If you often photograph groups indoors or want a wider view, check whether the available lens fits your needs.

Megapixels alone do not establish image quality. We are not claiming this phone has been tested at NikoDeal or that it performs a certain way at night. Look at sample images from similar lighting to your usual photos, and try the camera yourself if a demonstration unit is available.

Where this leaves a Dhangadhi buyer

The A6k is worth adding to your comparison if you prefer OPPO and want a large-screen phone with the listed battery capacity. It is not an automatic recommendation at either price. Screen clarity and charging details deserve particular attention before you choose it over another phone in the same budget.

Browse the NikoDeal catalog for current listings. If an A6k version is not shown, ask about it; this article does not mean it is stocked. Confirm the colour, storage, final amount, accessories, invoice details and warranty coverage for the actual unit. If you need delivery, ask for its charge and estimated arrival separately.

A good comparison starts with your daily use. Someone who reads small text for hours has a different priority from someone who mostly makes calls and watches video. Choose the version that answers your needs, with the charging uncertainty settled before payment.
