A larger air fryer is not automatically the better fit for your kitchen. Xiaomi's Air Fryer Essential 6L and Dual Zone Air Fryer 10L solve different problems: one gives you a single cooking basket with simple knobs, while the other divides the space between two separately controlled baskets.

On October 17, 2026, Xiaomi's Nepal pages list the Essential 6L at Rs.10,999 and the Dual Zone 10L at Rs.22,999. GadgetByte's Nepal report gives the same figures, and AC Ghar lists the 10L model at Rs.22,999. These are dated published price references, not NikoDeal quotations or a promise of stock at our shop.

The useful comparison starts with what you cook together, how much space each dish needs and where the appliance will sit.

Check the exact name before comparing prices

The Essential model in this guide is Xiaomi Air Fryer Essential 6L, model MAF13. The larger appliance is Xiaomi Dual Zone Air Fryer 10L, model MAF-D1001. Xiaomi's own specifications identify both model numbers.

Keep the word "Essential" on your shortlist. Searching only for "Xiaomi 6L" can lead to a different appliance or an older price article. Match the model on the box and invoice to the product page you used for comparison, rather than deciding from capacity alone.

This matters when comparing a shop offer with a search result. A lower number is only useful if it refers to the same product and the same included accessories.

Ten litres is split between two baskets

The Essential has one rated 6L basket. The Dual Zone's total is 10L, divided into a 3.5L left basket and a 6.5L right basket. It is not one uninterrupted 10L cooking chamber.

For someone preparing a main dish and a side dish with different settings, that split is the point. For someone trying to fit one wide baking dish, the headline total tells much less. Check the usable shape of the individual basket and the dimensions of any cookware you intend to put inside it.

Do not treat a litre figure as a guaranteed meal count. The food's size, arrangement and cooking instructions still matter. Ask to inspect the basket rather than buying on an assumed number of servings.

Simple knobs or separate cooking schedules

Xiaomi describes two physical knobs on the Essential for temperature and time. Its stated temperature range is 80 to 200 degrees Celsius, with a timer up to 60 minutes.

The Dual Zone supports a wider stated range of 40 to 230 degrees Celsius and has separate settings for its baskets. Its SYNC function coordinates different cooking schedules so both baskets finish at the same time. The L+R function applies the same settings to both baskets.

Those are different controls for different jobs. If your usual meal only needs one temperature and one basket, simple knobs may be enough. If you often prepare two foods with different cooking times, ask for a demonstration of SYNC before paying extra for it.

A preset or synchronised finish is not a guarantee that every ingredient will be cooked correctly without checking it. Follow the food and appliance instructions for the recipe and portion you use.

Rated power is not a household electricity bill

The Essential's official rated power is 1550W. The Dual Zone's total is 2700W, split into 1150W on the left and 1450W on the right. Both specification pages list 220 to 240V and 50 to 60Hz.

These figures identify the appliances' electrical ratings. They are not enough to calculate the exact cost of a meal or prove that one model will always use less electricity. Cooking duration, settings and the way the appliance operates during a cycle also matter.

Before ordering, check the appliance label, plug, manual and intended installation location. If you are unsure about your kitchen's electrical setup, ask a qualified electrician rather than assuming an existing extension arrangement is suitable.

We have not measured cooking speed, energy use or food results with either model. Manufacturer comparisons about faster cooking or reduced fat should not be read as NikoDeal test findings or a health promise.

Choose for the kitchen you have

Start by naming the meals you actually prepare. One basket may be enough for a single dish; two separately controlled baskets may be useful when you regularly cook a main and a side together. Then inspect the basket shape, controls, cleaning instructions and space required by the manual.

Ask for the exact model, current written quote, included accessories and seller's written terms. You can browse NikoDeal's current catalog for listed appliances and alternatives, but this guide does not claim either air fryer is stocked at NikoDeal.

The better purchase is the one that fits your routine. Extra capacity and extra controls are useful only when you will use them.
