Samsung's Galaxy A27 is officially available in Nepal at Rs 55,999 for the 6/128GB variant and Rs 69,999 for the 8/256GB model, according to GadgetByte's updated listing (November 1, 2026). It succeeds the Galaxy A26 in Samsung's budget 5G lineup. Before you buy one, here is what to check, as of November 3, 2026.

Check the Galaxy A37 Price First

This is the check that matters most. As GadgetByte points out, the A27's 8/256GB variant at Rs 69,999 launched at a higher price than the better-specced Galaxy A37 in the same configuration. TechLekh makes the same point: even during Samsung's cashback period, the A37 (8/256GB) sat only around Rs 2,000 above the A27 while offering a more capable chipset. Prices move, so compare the A27 and A37 side by side at a Samsung-authorized store before paying for the top variant.

Prices and Offers Move Around

Samsung Nepal ran a Rs 4,000 cashback on both variants shortly after launch, bringing them down to Rs 51,999 and Rs 65,999, but that offer ended on August 31 (TechLekh). The current official prices are Rs 55,999 (6/128GB) and Rs 69,999 (8/256GB) per GadgetByte. Ask the shop about any running cashback or exchange bonus before settling on a price.

What You Get

Per Samsung's official specifications and GadgetByte's reporting:

  • 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus+
  • Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset (4nm), replacing the Exynos chip in the A26
  • Up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, with microSD expansion
  • 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging
  • One UI 8.5 based on Android 16, with Samsung promising six major Android upgrades
  • Colors: Light Pink, Blue, Light Green, Black

The six-year update promise, which is Samsung's own claim, is the strongest argument for this phone: few phones near Rs 56,000 in Nepal get that level of software support.

Camera: Strong Main, Weaker Extras

The 50MP main camera keeps OIS, which helps with low-light shots and video stabilization. But check what changed from the A26, per GadgetByte: the ultrawide drops from 8MP to 5MP, the selfie camera from 13MP to 12MP, and the 2MP macro is largely decorative. If ultrawide or selfie quality matters to you, test both in the shop before deciding.

Water Resistance Went Down, Not Up

The A27 carries an IP64 rating, which is dust-tight and fine with splashes, but a step down from the A26's IP67, which could survive brief immersion. If you work around water or ride through monsoon rain daily, this trade-off is worth knowing about.

Bottom Line

The Galaxy A27 makes sense at Rs 55,999 if you value the AMOLED screen, the stabilized main camera, and six years of software updates. At Rs 69,999 for the 8/256GB variant, check the Galaxy A37's current price first, since it may be the better phone for similar money.
